Delvon grew up playing several sports but took a particular interest in basketball. He ultimately received a scholarship to play basketball at Michigan State University. Delvon played for three years and started in a national championship game before knee injuries forced him to retire. In his Sophomore year, he became fond of acting after enrolling in a theatre class. Delvon began acting in school plays, including a production of Shakespeare's "As You Like It," and was spotted by Danny Mooney who later offered him a role in Love and Honor. While shooting Love and Honor, a casting director asked him to audition for a small role in another feature film, "Gametime." After an impressive audition for that role, he was then asked to read for the lead role of Malik and was eventually cast in that role. Delvon relocated to Los Angeles, CA, signed with a talent manager, Sean Kurzweil, and is pursuing a career as a professional actor.

Delvon won the part of Isaac in AWOL over Quinton Aaron from the Academy Award Winning film the Blindside.Played in a National championship college basketball game against North Carolina in 2009.Delvon's sister, Delvona, played in the WNBA.Delvon was in the top five basketball players coming out of high school in the country.Only Freshman to start on a Final Four Team in 2009.
